Careline Home Support are available to adults of any age and  children with disability, without discrimination, who wish or need to have help or support provided within their own home.

We are registered with the new social work and social care services body, The Care Inspectorate.

The new bodies will take on work in these areas currently done by:

With the exception of independent healthcare regulation, all of SWIA’s and the Care Commission’s work will be carried out by the new social work and social care services body, The Care Inspectorate.

We are registered to provide a service for the following groups:

Clients who have care arranged and/or funded by Social Services or Local Health Authority

You may contact our company directly to arrange a visit or your Care Manager/Social Worker will make an assessment of needs, which will be sent to Careline Home Support.  After the assessment document has been received we will arrange a visit to discuss and agree details of how we can help you around your home or to get out and about (shopping, appointments or activities etc).  This visit will involve taking personal information and listening to your needs by your allocated named contact person.

The personal care plan file will be kept within your home and will include details of the services to be provided, how and when they are to be given, which members of staff will attend, the areas of responsibility and contact details etc.  Our staff are experienced and trained to offer support, help and care to our clients with discretion, efficiency and flexibility.  Our staff perform their tasks as arranged and agreed with our clients, and according to the plan implemented, but will remain flexible to meet changing needs, wishes or requirements of the individuals.

Day to day changes regarding times and how clients wish to use their time allocated can be discussed and arranged through the support staff, they will inform the office staff or named contact person of how the hours are being utilised to ensure careful monitoring of the service. This enables clients to make best use of their time, how when and where required.  Cancellations within 24hrs of the services provision will be charged for, 24 hour notice is required.  Clients may, by letter, addressed to your Careline Home Support office or by a phone call or email. If, contracted by Social Services Termination of service may be sent by Email, Fax or letter, as above.

Our company would prefer two to four weeks notice to end the service.

Social care is a regulated industry and in the interest of our clients we are required to make and retain certain records relating to our clients and the delivery of our service to them.  Records made by support staff in the personal care plans folder are collected regularly and stored at the office address in lockable filing cabinets, access to records is restricted to the Manger or Senior Administration Staff.  Our clients can request access to any information held by Careline Home Support by writing to the Manager at Careline Home Support, 7 Nithsdale Road, Pollockshields, Glasgow, G41 2AL.

Clients who receive Direct Payments or Self Directed Support - Individual Budgets for Care and wish to purchase their care from an agency

Using an agency is a route that many people in receipt of Direct Payments or Individual Budgets for Self Directed Care opt for in order to avoid the responsibility of fully employing a personal support worker or assistant, which involves making PAYE deductions and brings other employment responsibilities.  It also means that should the main support worker be ill or unavailable, an alternative trained PVG screened and enhanced disclosure Scotland checked person is supplied.

It is likely that an assessment of need will have been conducted by Social Services prior to a Self Directed Support - Individual Budget or Direct Payment scheme being implemented, however, one of the benefits of Self Directed Support - Individual Budgets or Direct Payments is the fact that people can choose how and when their service is delivered.  We therefore arrange an assessment and introduction meeting with a senior member of our team to agree the preferred package of care before arranging and implementing a care plan.

Careline Home Support are fully trained to assist individuals with the personalisation process and can offer a range of services to make best use of your individual budgets.

The pricing structure for Self Directed Support - Individual Budgets or Direct Payments is set out differently to private paying fees and so please contact us to discuss at the office.

The Complaints Procedure

If you have any queries, or you are not entirely satisfied with any aspect of your care package please talk to your allocated contact person or your care co-ordinator in the first instance.

Many minor problems can be solved by informal discussion and agreement, and we hope that most issues can be dealt with in this way. However, if you feel dissatisfied with the response, or your concern is of a more serious nature, please contact the manager Janet Cumine at the office who will:
