Personal Care

Where no nursing procedures or attention is required and as part of an overall care plan our Personal Care service includes:

Prompting/assisting to take medication

Helping in and out of bed

Helping to dress and undress

Prepare meals or assist with food preparation, home cooked meals can be made, not only microwave meals plus assistance with special dietary needs

Attending to the personal cleanliness of Clients that may include help with bathing, toileting and emptying commodes. Catheter bags can be emptied and stoma bags changed, all staff have appropriate training

Routine hair care

Shaving service

Incontinence laundry

Night sitting

Overnight care

Personal care does NOT include:

Administration of drugs by injection
Application of dressings
Responsibility for catheter care
Supervision of specialist medical treatment
